salsa Verde aka Green salsa





A tangy, spicy, bright salsa made from scratch with tomatillos, poblano and serrano peppers, lots of garlic, and fresh squeezed lime juice. Perfect for tacos, enchiladas or your favorite tortilla chips.





Ingredients:


5 tomatillos

4 cloves garlic

1 Serrano pepper

1 poblano pepper

Juice from one lime

Handful of cilantro

Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions:


Get a big pot of water and bring to a boil.


Remove the husks from the tomatillos and cut in half. Remove stems and seeds from the Serrano and poblano peppers. Cut those in half. Remove skins from garlic cloves.


Once water is boiling add the garlic tomatillos and peppers to the pot and let boil for a couple minutes.


Let it cool for a bit and then put the ingredients into a food processor or blender with about 1/4 cup of the water from the pot.


Add the cilantro and lime juice and blend. Taste and add salt and pepper to your liking! Top on everything!
